Amy graduated from Michigan State University, an accomplishment of which he was quite pleased to boast. He was born in Grand Rapids, and he has spent the entirety of his life in that city, including his childhood. He has never lived anywhere else. Amy began his career in the paper industry at Carpenter Paper, which was originally established by Amy’s grandfather. Amy has spent the better part of the last four decades working in the paper industry.

He was known to be approachable and friendly, with a warm personality, a good sense of humor, and the ability to converse with anyone. He also had the ability to converse with anyone.
