Peggy Payne Death, Obituary -Peggy Jean Payne, who was a resident of St. Thomas, Ontario, passed away on the 18th of December, 2022 while she was at home with her family. Peggy Sharp was born to her parents, Donald and Betty (Stone) Sharp, on the 11th of December in the year 1948 in the town of Tilbury, which is located in the province of Ontario.
Peggy began her academic career in London at Lord Roberts School, then moved on to Sparta Public School for the next two years, and finally graduated from Arthur Voaden Secondary School in St. Thomas. Peggy began her working life as an employee at Essex Wire, where she remained until the very end of her working life, when she accepted a position as a maintenance supervisor at the St. Thomas Golf & Country Club.
Peggy’s career spanned the entirety of her working life. Peggy experienced the most joy in her life when she was able to spend time with her loved ones, engage in activities such as golfing, riding her motorbike, tending to her garden, and playing Yahtzee. Peggy is survived by her husband, Larry Payne, her children Bettyann, Jenn (Wayne), Angelle, Sarah, and Crystal; her siblings Pat, Nancy, Cathy, Donna (John), Bob (Linda), and Raymond; and her grandchildren Bettyann, Jenn (Wayne), Angelle, Sarah, and Crystal.
Peggy is also survived by her siblings Pat, Nancy, Cathy, Donna (John), Bob (Linda), and Raymond ( Vaerie). She is survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, as well as additional family including cousins, nieces, and nephews. Peggy will be remembered with affection by a great number of people.
Peggy’s body has been cremated in accordance with the wishes that she expressed in her final moments.
A memorial service or celebration of life will take place at a later date; information regarding the particulars of the gathering will be disseminated in the coming days and weeks.
