Also the grandmother of Brendon Kilcoyne and his wife Kim. Denise’s and Kristen’s and James’ and Charlie’s and Sean’s and T.J.’s and Kaelyn and Lillyanne’s and Aubrey’s and T.J.’s and Kaelyn’s and Sean’s and T.J. Grandmother of Asa and Cecilia’s great-grandmother.
Sister of Mary Russo and the late Alice Walker, who lived in Duxbury with her surviving husband David, and John Herlihy, who lives in Dennis with his wife Denise, and David Herlihy, who lives in Newton with his wife Martha. Also, sister of Linda Placidi, who lives in Norfolk with her husband Maurizio, and John Herlihy, who lives in Dennis with his wife Denise. Joan was a very dynamic and busy person who was generous with her time and contributed it to the church, charities, and her family. Family, including her grandkids and great-grandchildren, was one of Joan’s biggest sources of happiness in life. Joan possessed a wide range of skills, but what distinguished her most was her kind nature and her desire to make others feel at home.
She had a passion for producing amazing charity events and was well-known for her well-organized golf trips, which usually had a theme and matching attire for the participants. Her events raised a lot of money for good causes. She was very giving of her time and brought a lot of happiness to the individuals she met through the many church ministries, tennis teams, pool parties, and golf groups in which she participated. Together with Jack, her spouse of more than 60 years, she enjoyed a life full of adventure and exploration. We were lucky to have had her as a part of our life, as were all others who had the opportunity to know her.
