Jouni Uitto Death, Obituary – Jouni Uitto has passed away untimely and unexpectedly leaving friends, loved ones, family, and the entire community heartbroken and in grievance, according to a social media sharing. At Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he also taught and served as a professor, Jouni Uitto, MD, PhD, served as the chair of the department of dermatology and cutaneous biology. The Society for Investigative Dermatology (SID), which is saddened by his passing, was left with a legacy of sadness.
A former president of the Society for Investigative Dermatology (SID), a former member of the Board of Directors, a former member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID), and a former member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Dr. Uitto was also a former member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID). In addition to this, Dr. Uitto was awarded the Montagna Lecture as well as the Rothman Award. In addition to that, the Society for also bestowed the honorary membership to him (JID).
Dr. Uitto has made significant contributions to the study of cutaneous biology, most notably in the area of studies dealing to the genetic factors that serve as the foundation for skin diseases. His loved ones, as well as his friends and the people who worked for him, will grievously miss him everywhere in the globe.
