Snowden Goff Obituary, Death – Snowden On Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Leroy Goff, age 59, who had spent his entire life in the Emporium community, passed away suddenly. He had been hospitalized there for an illness. Emporium had been his permanent home for the duration of his entire life. In the last moments of his life, he was surrounded by his loving family on all sides, and they took care of him. On Thursday, June 20, 1963, he was born in the city of Bradford to his parents, Roy V. Goff and Alice Preko Goff. His grandparents are also named Roy V. Goff and Alice Preko Goff.
He went by the name Roy V. Goff Jr. in the community. Throughout his formative years, he was showered with affection and bolstered by the unwavering support of his grandmother Stella Goff and grandfather Snowden. He had completed all four years of high school at the Cameron County High School in Emporium, which is also where he had graduated with his diploma. Both Leroy and his uncle Denver “Denny” Goff worked for Myers Amusement Company for a significant number of years, during which time they traveled all over the country prior to their retirement five years ago. Leroy’s job at Myers Amusement Company afforded them the opportunity to do so.
Leroy and Denver “Denny” Goff were able to visit with members of Leroy’s family while they were there, which was a highlight of their trip. After working for the entertainment company for a significant number of years, Leroy eventually came to the conclusion that it was time for him to retire from his position there. After that, he got a job as a maintenance man at the Roman Catholic Church of St. Mark in Emporium. Leroy was a devoted cyclist who would ride his bike anywhere from 15 to 20 miles on a daily basis. His rides typically started early in the morning. In most cases, he set out on his rides very early in the morning.
Ellen Travis, an aunt from the father’s side, lives in Emporium; Charles (Hattie) Goff, an uncle from the father’s side, lives in St. Marys; Nancy Andres, an aunt from the mother’s side, lives in Florida; Richard Goff, a brother from the father’s side, lives in Pittsburgh; Kathy Brogan, a sister from the father’s side, lives in Ohio; and a large number of cousins and other relatives live in Ohio and other They will all hold the memory of him in the highest regard forever. Before Leroy was born, both of his uncles, Denver “Denny” Goff and Paul Travis, Sr., along with one of his brothers and one of his sisters, as well as both of his parents and both of his grandparents, had already passed away.
Leroy’s parents and grandparents had already passed away when he passed away. It was not just his aunts and uncles who had passed away before he was born; his grandparents and parents did as well. A memorial service will be held at the Emporium Alliance Church, which can be found in Emporium at 1284 Sizerville Road, at a date and time that will be announced in the coming weeks.
