Noel Yandle Obituary, Death – Willis Moore (Buddy) Yandle, Jr., her husband of 61 years, her parents Robert Charles Rhodes and Dovie Luola McCall Rhodes, and her four brothers Lloyd Glenwood Rhodes, William Anderson Rhodes, Charles Ellis Rhodes, and Randolph Lee Rhodes all passed away prior to her passing. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Willis Moore (Buddy) Yandle, Jr. served as her spouse for the entirety of their 61-year marriage. Only her sister, Arameta “Sissy” Rhodes Warren, will remember her. She is the only person who will (Roger Warren).
Noel received her degree from Queens College in 1947, where she had previously held the position of Student Body President from 1946 to 1947. Noel graduated with this degree. Noel attended Queens College and graduated with a degree there. She was very active in the Presbyterian or Baptist Church in the areas in which she lived, participated in a wide variety of music programs, was a member of the Presbyterian Women, and served as an Elder at the 2nd Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, Virginia. All of these activities took place in the areas in which she lived.
She belonged to the Presbyterian Women’s organization. Throughout the course of her life, she was also a participant in a wide range of other musical programs. She sang in a variety of church choirs throughout her entire life, and she continued to play the French horn and other instruments in a wide variety of bands and orchestras throughout school, college, and the community well into her 90s. She also sang in a number of different church choirs throughout her entire life. Her passion for music was undoubtedly one of the most significant aspects of her life.
She was very skilled in the art of sewing, and in her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden. She had a lot of talent in both of these areas. She gave a handcrafted Raggedy Ann and Andy doll to each of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
