At the time of her retirement, she had racked up more than 40 years of experience working for the government. She cherished nothing more than being able to spend time with the people who meant the most to her, engaging in creative pursuits, preparing delectable meals, watching sports on television, and going to the casino or bingo hall. She also enjoyed watching sports on television.

Her great-grandfather A.D. Hunt, her grandfather Irene Hunt, her father A.D. Hunt, her mother Irene Hunt, her brothers Eugene and Donald Hunt, her sister Emma McDonell, her son Donald Fagins, and her granddaughter Davina Avalos all died before she did. Her son Donald Fagins and her granddaughter Davina Avalos also predeceased her. Her great-grandfather A.D. Hunt, her grandfather Irene Hunt, her father A.D. Hunt, her mother Irene Hunt, her father A.D. Hunt, and her great-grandfather A.D. Hunt all passed away before she did.
