Franco Harris Obituary, Death – Franco Harris, who passed away this morning at the age of 72, is survived by a devoted family. For the remainder of my life, I will continue to keep Franco’s family in my thoughts and prayers. Franco Harris’s age as of this morning was 72 years old. I am thrilled that he has decided to move his family to this area and to make the 44th Congressional District his permanent abode. I am looking forward to working with him.
Not only was Franco an outstanding performer on the football field, but he was also a remarkable individual. The brilliance of Franco can be attributed, in part, to both of these characteristics. Both of these qualities contribute, in their own way, to Franco’s genius as an artist. He was involved in a broad variety of charity organizations, one of which was the Special Olympics Pennsylvania, which was one of the organizations that he participated in.
Late in the month of October, Franco Harris Day was celebrated across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He was honored with a visit to the state Capitol during this time, and the Steelers had planned to retire his number 32 over the past weekend. The upcoming weekend will signal the end of his career as he wears the number 32 jersey for the last time.
