Parrott Robert Obituary, Death – Parrott Robert has passed away sadly and untimely which has left the family in serious grief and agony according to social media publication.” His father was Carlisle “Polly” Robertt, and his mother was Viola Wilkie Robert. They lived in Greenwood, South Carolina. He was his parents’ son. He received a scholarship from the Navy ROTC to attend the University of South Carolina, where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering in 1965 and went on to become an ensign in the Navy.

He graduated from Greenwood High School. When Bob was on his tractor, working in his greenhouse, taking his grandchildren on hayrides through the woods, and appreciating God’s magnificent creation alongside his wife, Peggy, he felt more at ease than at any other time in his life. He was a wonderful story teller, most of which were appropriate, and he loved to say the group blessing at family events, despite the fact that he never made it through a single blessing without getting a little teary as he thanked the Lord for all of our blessings.

He was a wonderful storyteller. He enjoyed spending time with his pals singing and playing the banjo, and he was not the type of person to refuse an evening drink. He is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy Hyatt Robertt; his two children, Rob Robert and Salley Cathcart (Richard); and his three stepchildren, Tony Powell (Mary), Tim Powell (Missy), and Tracie Powell-Wilkin. Rob Robert and Salley Cathcart (Richard) are his biological children, and Tony Powell, Tim Powell, and Tracie Powell-Wilkin are his stepchildren (Mike). They were blessed with 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, all of whom referred to their grandfather fondly as Pop.”
