Jaime Lopez Death, Obituary -It has come to widespread attention that Jamie Lopez, the founder of Babydoll Beauty Couture and the host of the nationally watched reality show “Super Sized Salon,” has passed away. It has been reported by a number of people who were close to Lopez that she passed away this past weekend at a hospital in Las Vegas due to complications related to her heart condition.
A representative from the BBC sent the statement that is included below: “It is with great sadness that we must share the news that Jamie Lopez, the legendary founder and owner of Babydoll Beauty Couture, has passed away. Making this statement comes with a great lot of sadness and disappointment. While the Babydoll family mourns this unspeakable loss, we humbly request some space from you in this difficult time.”
Because she was unable to leave her bed when her weight hit 846 pounds, Lopez was forced to come up with the concept for her salon while she was confined to her bedroom. While she was unable to move from her hospital bed, Lopez came up with the name for her salon. The show followed her as she lost a total of 400 pounds and eventually went into a salon, something she had never been allowed to do because of her size in the past.
The first episode of “Super Sized Salon” highlighted the employees of Babydoll Beauty Couture as well as some of the salon’s clientele. Babydoll Beauty Couture was opened with the intention of catering to the needs of plus-size women. It has been whispered that she will shortly begin filming Season 2, so keep your ears open for that. Jamie just celebrated the significant milestone of turning 37 recently.
