Terrance Standiford Death, Obituary – Terrance Standiford has passed away untimely and unexpectedly leaving friends, loved ones, family, and the entire community heartbroken and in grievance, according to a social media sharing. On Sunday, November 27, 2022, Terrance “Terry” William Standiford, who was 74 years old and lived in Hendricks County, Indiana, passed away. Terry’s parents, Robert and Roberta Standiford, as well as his daughter, Kathleen Marie Standiford, passed away before him.
Terry is survived by his wife, Wilma Joyce Standiford of Hendricks County, Indiana; his son, Michael Standiford (and his wife Annie) of Plain eld, Indiana; his daughter, Sarah (and her husband Shane) Riebsomer of Indianapolis, Indiana; stepsons Jeff (and Sara) Chandler of Speedway, Indiana and Tom (and Tammy) Anderson of Plant City, Florida; stepdaughters Tina (and Dale) Ritz of Franklin, Indiana and Jennie (and Terry’s four sisters, Susan (Clyde) Cravens of San Antonio, Texas, Nancy Szypulski of Havelock, North Carolina, Laura (Glenn) Craig of Lancaster, South Carolina, and Claudia Standiford of Houston, Texas, are also among those who are able to carry on his legacy.
On January 10, 1948, Terry was welcomed into this world in Angola, Indiana. After that, he and his family relocated to Brownsburg, Indiana, where Terry resided until he enlisted in the United States Army in 1968 and was eventually sent to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, as a Sergeant in the Green Berets. Following his discharge from the military in 1974, Terry became a member of the Plainfield Police Department. He continued to work for that police force for the next 21 years, reaching the rank of Sergeant before retiring in 1995.
Terry’s passions were working on automobiles and motorbikes as well as attending or watching the National Drag Races. On the Saturday, December 10, 2022, visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until the time of the ceremony at 1:00 pm at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. The service will be held in the funeral home. Funeral ceremonies for the deceased will thereafter take place in the West Ridge Park Cemetery, located at 21st and Raceway Road in Indianapolis, Indiana.
