Rebecca Ikumelo Death, Obituary – Rebecca Ikumelo, a 33-year-old woman from Newham has reportedly died after being injured when crowds of people attempted to enter the O2 Academy Brixton on Thursday night. Rebecca Ikumelo, 33 years old, a resident of Newham, was pronounced dead at the hospital early on Saturday morning, according to the police.
A woman who was harmed as crowds of people tried to enter the O2 Academy Brixton on Thursday night has sadly passed away as a result of the injuries that she sustained as a result of the incident. Following the occurrence, she was one of three women who were taken to a nearby hospital for medical care. She was one of the patients there. On Sunday, a post-mortem examination will be carried out at the Greenwich Public Mortuary.
The circumstances of the two other women, who are aged 21 and 23, have not improved, and they continue to be in a serious position as a result of the incident that took place when a large number of people attempted to push their way into the venue to watch the Nigerian artist Asake perform.
Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove, the policing commander for Lambeth and Southwark, was speaking at the site on Friday and expressed his condolences to “all those who have been touched.” He stated, “I’d like to extend my sympathies to all those who have been affected.” Following the viewing of some of the really upsetting photos that have been distributed over social media, our thoughts are with those affected by the tragedy.
