Andrew Balciunas Death, Obituary – It is with a heavy heart that we learned Andrew Balciunas of Pickerington, Ohio, has died sadly and unexpectedly leaving loved ones in pain, agony, and sadness. He graduated from Malden Catholic High School in 1970 and was a part of the school’s Class of 1970.  There, he also earned his diploma. His undergraduate degree came from Georgetown University, where he graduated with the Class of 1974.

He then continued his studies at Northeastern University, where he graduated with the Class of 1981 and earned a master’s degree in business administration. Over the course of the prior eighteen years, he had made Scituate his primary residence. Andy attended the Saint Mary of the Nativity Church in Scituate, and he and the other people who attended that church looked forward to coming together for breakfast on Sundays.

Andy was a member of the church. He had always been interested in the ocean, and he made the most of his opportunities to explore it by going swimming, fishing, and boating whenever he had the chance. Andy was also a gifted artist, and he used watercolors to make portraits of people and places that had a significant impact on his life. These paintings had a special place in Andy’s heart.

Andy Fichera was a devoted father and a loving husband to his late wife, Patty Sue (Chumbley) Fichera. Patty Sue (Chumbley) Fichera was the mother of his children. Domenic M. Fichera of New York, Nicole S. Fichera and her husband Tyler Shannon of Vermont, Rose K. Brown and her husband Randy of Virginia, and Domenic M. Fichera of Vermont were all loyal to their father. Rose K. Brown and her husband Randy lived in Virginia.

He was the oldest of four children and was the much-loved brother of Susanna Fichera and her husband Michael Mahan of Maine, John Fichera and his wife Jane of New Hampshire, and Joanne Lortie and her husband Paul of Maryland. Susanna, John, and Joanne all reside in Maine, while Joanne and John both live in New Hampshire, and John lives in New Hampshire.

He was the eldest of his family’s four kids. In addition, several of Andy’s nieces and nephews will continue to carry on his legacy after he has passed away.
